This was our 2nd time staying at Jarvis’s house and it just works so well for our family! This place was nothing short of magic. The location is walkable to so many delicious restaurants, Pavillion beach was great for grandparents walking and kids to play, and some others are a very short drive. This house is gorgeous, incredibly clean, cozy and comfy beds, beyond what I've seen at nice hotels. The loft space on the upper floor has panoramic views of the beach, ocean, boats, etc. It's busy during the day and quiets down nicely at night. We stayed as a family for a weekend to play and relax, and all ages had fun here, and it was safe for our three year old! Jarvid was a phenomenal host, very responsive, had a great packet of info prepared before you got there, and we had no issues the whole time. Can't wait to come back!

The property was above and beyond all of our expectations. There were so many well planned features that made our stay enjoyable while in the house. We enjoyed sitting outside on the different decks. The ample living space provided a place to share time with others, and everyone commented on the bathroom arrangement as well thought-out.

We seldom drove anywhere other than the grocery store. It's an easy walk to shops and restaurants.

This place was perfect for us. It had beautiful views of the bay. There was a nice area out front to walk along the bay if you bring your dog like we did, or just for a morning walk We rented the entire place, they have two units. It was so nice, our adult daughter had her own space. It was lovely sitting out on the deck watching the seagulls and just relaxing! It really was a perfect location. We were actually doing most of our sightseeing in Salem, which was very close. The restaurants in Gloucester had some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. There were many nearby to choose from. Jarvis was very accommodating, letting us get a late check out so that my daughter could visit the pem museum since they weren’t open on the first two days we were there. They also messaged us that the place was available earlier so we checked in early, which was really great. They also left us a lovely gift card to get dinner at the hotel next-door which was delicious! We definitely will be back!

We were very pleased with our stay at Jarvid's place. We rented both units for a family of 8 and had plenty of room to socialize and dine together, while still having space for privacy and down time. The units were lovely, with a clear attention to detail. They were very tastefully decorated, and had everything we could have needed. Beds were very comfortable (with notably nice sheets!). Towels were plush. The kitchens were well outfitted nicely allowing us to easily cook several extensive meals, including a New Years eve feast! Being from the area, we very much appreciated the location. It had beautiful water views of the bay and the scenic paint factory. The location nicely captures the multidimensions of the town of Gloucester and was just a short walk away from main street, with plenty of dinning and shops.

We can’t say enough positive things about our stay! We are a family of six, with 2 young adult children and two teenagers. The split layout, with two connected units, worked perfectly for us. We came to Gloucester to be near our son, who couldn’t travel for Thanksgiving. Access to two kitchens was a lifesaver! The kitchens were extremely thoughtfully stocked. We were able to cook and bake with ease.
The location of the house is great. There are great views of the ocean and boats. Sunsets from the third floor never disappointed. Town and Main Street are in walking distance and the beautiful Beauport Hotel is right next door. As a runner, I had easy access to many routes right from the front door.
The hosts were attentive and proactive. Jarvid reached out to ask if we planned to prepare Thanksgiving dinner at the house. When we said yes, he dropped off a roasting pan and meat thermometer.
We loved our week at the house and would eagerly book this place again!

Our stay was fantastic. The Airbnb exceeded our expectations in every way. The abundance of space and numerous well appointed rooms made us feel truly pampered. Not to mention the entire property was impeccably clean, crating a pristine and inviting atmosphere.
The kitchen was well equipped with a generous selection of utensils ensuring we had everything we needed for our culinary adventures. However I may offer a small suggestion for further improvement including a crab/lobster opener and a lemon squeezer to elevate the convenience factor even more.
The convenience extended beyond the kitchen too. The washer and dryer were conveniently located and incredibly user friendly allowing us to easily take care of our laundry.
The process of finding the place was a breeze and using the keypad to access. Though it’s worth noting that the driveway had a incline, so for the comfort and safety of elderly people in your group it’s best to provide assistants.

My family and I traveled to Gloucester to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday, and Jarvid's property exceeded our expectations. We occupied both the upstairs and downstairs units and had plenty of space. The house felt clean and brand new while also being cozy and inviting. Being only steps from a beautiful beach meant so much to my mom (and to all of us). She loved the kitchen! What an adorable and inviting town with plenty for us adults and my three young nephews to do! We appreciated that our dogs could join us on this vacation, and Jarvid was super accommodating about everything I asked. You can even bring your dog right down to the beach, which is a rare find and something you often have to pay extra for, so we felt so lucky. Also, Jarvid gifted us a card to use at the Beaufort, which was so generous and went towards raw oysters and cocktails with my favorite people --such great memories! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay while we were in town for our son’s wedding. Although the hotel ( Beauport) is special, it was a 20 second walk across the street to our own piece of heaven. We were able to accommodate guests who need somewhere to land for a drink or a bite to eat while they waited for their hotel rooms. The downtown is accessible and has many beautiful local eateries. I can say enough about the house itself. Every little thing that we needed was there and ready. The beds are gloriously clean, comfortable and felt like a luxury retreat. The kitchen had everything we could need or want. Being able to rent both floors so we could accommodate our large family worked out perfectly. Everyone had a room and privacy.

We’ll at first you may think the rate is high. In our case we had a Family get together, which was 4 individual family total headcount of 11 . We rented this beautiful home for my daughter’s wedding at the Cruiseport. Many of the guests stayed right next door at the Beaufort so it was all super close. The home is exactly how the pictures look and very clean. I have rented many homes and this is one of my favorites. You cannot beat the location, the views, beds are super comfortable and while we did not cook the kitchen had everything you would need. It may seem a bit high in price but it is worth it. I cannot say enough great things about our stay. The space is absolutely pristine with the most incredible view of the harbor. There is a gorgeous deck that makes you feel like you’re sitting right on top of the harbor! What a gorgeous spot in any season. The photos don't do justice to how pristine and fresh the apartment is. The kitchen is well appointed for real cooking and baking and the upstairs wet bar + sofas and deck make for an amazing location to entertain.
Our family of four (plus small dog) found the beds super comfy and the whole place just feels luxurious and special.
Because of the two have baths, the fact of one shower doesn't seem bothersome. It all worked for us. We loved it and wish we could have stayed longer.

honestly, this VRBO was probably the best experiences I have had. To start the trip i had a package fedexed to the house. when I arrived Jarvid had already brought it the house. He, was a fantastic host. checked in on my guests and I every day to see how we were enjoying our stay. when we first arrived there were two gift cards totaling $200 to a great restaurant with in walking distance from this magnificent home. the house was 5 stars in every inch of this place.. Views for miles of the ocean! I fish in Gloester every year and will be definitely going back next september for the month again. the only negative to the entire VRBO is that I couldnt stay longer! Couldn't say enough good things about Jarvid place and our stay at The Captain's Villa. The amount of care and attention to detail in the decor and the build itself is apparent. Adding the convenient location to walk into town and sweeping views from the home... the result is a stunning property to stay at.
The beach was steps away from the house which was great for a quick morning or afternoon swim. Paddleboards and other beach rentals were also available close by to make use of a full day at the beach.
Jarvid provided a comprehensive summary and guidebook of places to visit in the area and recommendations for the many restaurants in Gloucester.
Overall, first class experience! Don't pass this one by, book it, you'll be happy you did. No question.

This is a lovely place to stay. It was spotless. The first floor deck is perfect. You can sit out there and watch all the boats coming and going and the beach is right next to this house. We loved our stay. The only part that was hard for me is that I am semi-handicapped and it was not easy getting into the apartment and the parking is difficult. But the place is wonderful. And Jarved, the host is very nice and respectful.

Jarvid's Gloucester Home - What can we say! It was absolute perfection in every way imaginable. My wife & I stayed with our two pups midweek after Labor Day weekend.
The property is BRAND NEW with a stunning fit & finish in every room. The beds & linens are beyond comfortable in every room. The kitchen is fully stocked with an open concept. The ocean shines from almost every single window throughout the property. The Fort is tucked away in a nice quiet corner overlooking both the harbor, beach and waterway in Gloucester. Just steps from The Beauport Hotel and wide open beaches. Just about type of cuisine is within walking distance to the property or stay home, enjoy the space and cook your own meal. We did both. We have traveled all over the country and globe so we've stayed in every imaginable type of Airbnb...we are also hosts in Vermont.
